That’s funny. I always get a good chuckle when I get a star or reply to a comment from years ago. It doesn’t happen often, as I don’t have anything remotely as epic as that. But I figured if it still happens to me, it must happen to you 10 fold.

Possibly, but he was smart enough to hijack a plane, effectively swap the hostages for money, get the plane back into the air, and fly into a fairly remote, wooded area.

He jumped at night, over a densely forested area, in the middle of nowhere, with a non-steerable parachute, in a -7 windchill, wearing a business suit and loafers, with no food or supplies, and a portion of the money was found years later, rotted and washed up on a creek bank.
He either speared on a tree branch or died of exposure.

But then jumping at low altitude into a rainstorm and the money never turning up except in river sediment makes me question whether he ultimately survived. Maybe he did, though, and just knew he could do nothing but get rid of the money if he didn’t want to go to prison.
